User Experience and User Interface designer.
Nate Chapman is a user experience designer, illustrator, and mad gamer known for his awesome communication skills.
I created this blog after years of trying to craft the perfect experience portfolio, and failing horribly. Personal promotion has never been a strong suite for me.
A quick history
I started drawing comic books around the age of 12. I found inspiration from my dad’s paintings which were on display around the house we lived in. Recognizing my love for drawing, my parents purchased a drawing table for me, and from there I started hanging out less with friends, and spent more time indoors lost in my own creations.
After graduating high school I was a lost rebellious teen who had no direction. After a couple years of experiencing life to its fullest, I applied to a design school in Milford, NE. I was the last applicant to get accept that year and started later in the fall. I certainly wasn’t the best graphic designer while in school, in fact, my portfolio was near truly awful.
None-the-less I graduated and got my first job as a designer creating icons for pickle cards. Since that day, I have been employed by a number of small companies, later as a freelancer, and finally as a business owner with the drive to always create wonderful experiences. Long before I self identified with user experience I was always concerned about how people were going to use the creations I made.
About this site
Since creating massvio.com in 2010 I discovered my love for creating tutorials. This site will mainly focus on guides for other designers, and new comers to the world of web design.
